Precious Stories
My work is rooted in loss—not only the loss of people and places, but the loss of the memories and knowledge they carried. I photograph objects and locations once animated by personal and familial meaning, now existing without the voices that gave them context.
After printing, I alter each photograph by hand, applying gold or silver as an act that acknowledges both care and failure: an attempt to hold what cannot be fully recovered. The visible marks of my hand underscore the gap left by vanished storytellers, transforming each photograph into a singular artifact shaped by absence, labor, and time.
Each print is unique, bearing the marks of my hand as I apply the gold or silver and produced in Editions of 10 + 2 AP.
